for motorcycles, e-bikes and bicycles
What is the 1000 Series?
The range builds on the D1000. We've introduced three entirely new products, the core range now consists of:
- The D1000: the original anti-angle grinder lock
- The DX1000: a large D lock
- The AX1000: a pivoting, rotating arm and anchor base
- The A1000: a rotating anchor base
You can mix & match individual products in the 1000 Series to create the ultimate anti-angle grinder security system on home and on the move.
"...worth the money for its peace of mind and ease of use."
"...This is one of the most secure locks you can buy."
"...The D1000 lives up to everything Hiplok promises and more"
Rigorously Tested. Independently Certified
All products in the 1000 Series are manufactured using a composite graphene material, which resists angle grinder cutting wheels.
This material allows us to create lightweight, yet seriously strong security products. As with all Hiplok products, we conduct our own rigorous attack and user testing, to ensure they perform to the level we expect.
Your Bike. Your Set-Up
The AX1000 and A1000 security anchors can be installed and used in various configurations, allowing significant flexibility in set-up to match your type of bike and storage location. Both anchors are designed for inside or outside use.
AX1000 also allows bicycles and e-bikes to be secured in a horizontal or vertical position with the appropriate installation into a wall.
Note: You will need to purchase a Hiplok Jaw+ Separately to position bikes vertically.
To secure your motorcycles, e-bikes or bicycles in a standard horizontal position, grab an AX1000.
You can fix it to the ground or wall.
To save space, grab an A1000. It was designed for wall installation, helping you free up floor space.
For this set-up, grab a Compact Bundle. Or you can use your A1000 with a DX1000 or D1000.
Why have we developed the 1000 Series?
The weapon of choice for the professional bike thief is the angle grinder, which can cut through any standard lock in seconds. When the D1000 was launched two years ago, it revolutionised bike security with its ability to withstand a severe, sustained angle grinder attack.
However, activity from bike criminals continues. There is more to do. Theft statistics and customer demand suggested there were two clear objectives we needed to meet:
- Provide the same level of security for bike storage at home.
- Optimise the security system for motorcycles.
The answer was the 1000 Series.
Yes. AX1000/A1000 is supplied with eight high-security expansion bolts and plugs, plus the ball bearings required to install the anchors securely. These fixings are tested as part of the independent security approval process by Sold Secure and ART. They also come with a 16mm drill bit, a drilling template, instructions, and a user guide.
The ball bearings must be installed to secure the AX1000/A1000 completely. If you choose not to use the ball bearings, the anchor is no longer Sold Secure Powered Cycle Diamond rated. Using the ball bearings means you cannot remove or relocate the AX1000/A1000 once installed.
AX1000/A1000 should be fitted to a solid brick or concrete substrate. AX1000/A1000 can be fitted to a wall or floor, inside or outside. The high-security fixings are supplied.
The pivoting arm on the AX1000 can be locked in multiple positions to give maximum flexibility when securing your bike/motorbike.
The AX1000 does fold into a low horizontal position. We do not recommend driving over the AX1000. It has been designed to be convenient and functional from a usability point of view and as strong and secure as possible.
Yes. All products in the 1000 Series are rated Sold Secure Powered Cycle Diamond. To qualify for this rating, products must withstand 90 seconds of attack from an angle grinder. The 1000 Series can withstand a sustained attack of several minutes depending on the angle grinder and discs used. Note: our tests used five discs and a battery-operated angle grinder. Cutting one side of an AX1000 took over eight minutes. Two cuts are needed to release the lock.
Yes. AX1000 and A1000 are Sold Secure Ground Anchor & Security Post Gold rated (as well as being Sold Secure Powered Cycle Diamond rated).
Yes. All products in the 1000 Series are rated ART 4 Star.
Unfortunately, all locks from all brands can eventually be cut by an angle grinder. That is why we've spent a huge amount of time creating a range of security products that are anti-angle grin
All products in the 1000 Series are rated Sold Secure Powered Cycle Diamond. Sold Secure is the UK-based premier testing and certification house for security products. This is the highest level of security rating, which will protect against all usual modes of theft attacks, including bolt croppers.
We use the same proven, high-performing, patented material as the D1000 – the world's first anti-angle grinder D lock. This material is specifically designed to disintegrate angle grinder cutting wheels and carbide-tipped drills with its unique material properties. Made in an advanced high-temperature fusion process, it's a graphene-reinforced ceramic composite, making it very hard and tough. It is also incredibly energy efficient with a low carbon footprint.
