The Bike Shed Moto Show 2026 was another great weekend for the Hiplok team, with plenty of time spent meeting riders, catching up with fellow brands, and seeing a wide range of custom motorcycles.
The show was also a good opportunity to showcase our moto security range in person and let people see and try the products. Being able to demonstrate how the locks work, talk through the technology behind them, and hear direct feedback from riders is always one of the most valuable parts of attending events like this.

The Hiplok Stand
Over at the Hiplok stand, visitors had the chance to get hands-on with our moto security range and chat with the team about different motorcycle security setups.
We were able to demonstrate how the products work and let people feel the weight, build quality, and locking systems for themselves.
There were also some great conversations with riders about motorcycle theft, home security, commuting, and the types of security products they use day-to-day. All of the feedback and insights from the show will be shared within the Hiplok team as we continue developing future products.

The 1000 Series
The 1000 Series was one of the key product ranges we were showcasing at the stand. It's become a popular choice with many riders thanks to its maximum protection and anti-angle grinder technology. In fact, we met many riders at the show who already own a 1000 Series lock, which was great to hear.
From portable disc locks to D locks and home security anchors, the range is designed to give riders flexible, layered protection with advanced anti-angle grinder resistance.

MD1000
The MD1000 is an anti-angle grinder disc lock that offers a portable, lightweight option for maximum security. It also comes with magnetic reminder tags that can be placed on the ignition or handlebars to help prevent riding off with the lock still fitted.

DX1000
The DX1000 is an anti-angle grinder D lock designed to give riders added peace of mind. Depending on your bike, it can secure both the wheel and spokes, offering a highly secure locking option. You can explore the rest of the range here.
Whether you're securing your bike at home, commuting into the city, or stopping at your favourite café, the 1000 Series allows you to build a setup that works around your riding routine.

Z LOK COMBO
The Z LOK COMBO continues to be one of the most popular products in the Hiplok range.
Compact and lightweight, it's ideal for securing helmets, jackets, luggage, or accessories during quick stops. Its steel-core construction and resettable combination lock make it a simple everyday security option for riders on the move.

Spin to Win
Our Spin to Win competition gave visitors the chance to win two of our toughest anti-angle grinder locks, the MD1000 disc lock and the DX1000 D lock.
To enter, visitors had to spin to get their code. If the code matched, they unlocked the prize box and won a prize on the spot.
The lucky winners? It was a father and son who can now share the locks between their bikes and enjoy ultimate security.
Seeing how excited they were to win was a great moment for the team, and we hope the locks give them real peace of mind every time they park up.

Bennetts BikeSocial
A big shoutout goes to Bennetts BikeSocial, the official sponsor of the event. Alongside being well known for motorcycle insurance, they continue to do an excellent job raising awareness around motorcycle security and theft prevention.
Their display bike on the stand was secured using Hiplok products, and together we also ran a giveaway for riders to win items from the Hiplok 1000 Series range.

If you didn't manage to attend the show, the giveaway is still running until 31st July 2026.
They also had a range of tested locks on display at the stand to demonstrate the importance of choosing the right security for your bike. From D locks to chains, there is a suitable option for different situations, so it's always worth considering the pros and cons of each, as well as any insurance requirements.
If you haven't already, check out John's cutting test videos to see how Hiplok products perform in real-world attack scenarios. And if you're investing in motorcycle security, it's always worth checking independent security ratings such as Sold Secure or ART certifications.

The Bikes
Alongside our focus on motorcycle security throughout the weekend, the Bike Shed Moto Show wouldn't be complete without the bikes themselves.

The exhibition floor was full of stunning custom builds, café racers, scramblers, and handcrafted motorcycles from builders across the scene. Every corner of the show had something different to admire, from minimalist retro-inspired machines to wild one-off creations.
The event always brings together a huge mix of builders, styles, and creativity, making it one of the highlights in the motorcycle calendar.
If you're into custom motorcycle culture, the Bike Shed Moto Show is absolutely worth experiencing.

Questions Riders Asked Most at the Show
One of the best parts of attending shows like Bike Shed is getting the chance to speak directly with riders and answer questions about motorcycle security in person.
Some of the most common questions we heard throughout the show included:
Q. What's the difference between the D1000 and DX1000?
A. Both locks feature Hiplok's anti-angle grinder technology and maximum-security protection, but the DX1000 has a larger internal locking area, making it easier to secure larger bikes and more locking points.
Q. How secure is the Z LOK COMBO?
A. The Z LOK COMBO is designed to prevent opportunist theft and secure accessories such as helmets, jackets, luggage, or bikes during short stops.
It features a steel core, which means it cannot easily be cut. Of course, like any lightweight security product, it can be defeated with the right tools given enough time, such as bolt cutters.
However, for its intended purpose, it does its job well. If you're looking for a lightweight, reusable, and easy-to-carry option to secure your gear, it's a convenient solution.
Q. How does the AX1000 work?
A. The AX1000 is a high-security anchor point designed for use at home or in a garage to create a secure locking location. Featuring the same anti-angle grinder technology, it can be combined with a D1000 or DX1000 to create a complete high-security setup.
Q. Will the D1000 or DX1000 fit my bike?
A. This was one of the most common questions across the weekend. Compatibility depends on wheel size, brake disc design, and where riders want to secure the bike. We had size checkers available at the stand so people could try it on their bikes. If you're in the UK, you can order one for free, or if you're outside the UK you can print the PDF template and test fit before buying.
