When SPIN Cycling festival first launched in 2013, it’s aim wasn’t to be just another bike show but to bring people together to celebrate cycle culture.
We’ve enjoyed supporting this fab weekend celebration as it’s grown over the last few years. And this month we’ll be in Manchester for the festival’s inaugural year in the Northern City as well as back at The Truman Brewery for Spin London at the end of May.
For the Hiplok team, SPIN 2016 is ideally timed to showcase our new DX range. But as well as providing the perfect opportunity for us to talk security with real riders, SPIN is quite simply a really fun weekend for anybody who supports and wants to be part of cycle culture growth in the UK. Getting close up with cool cycling equipment is a given but here’s 5 other good reasons to go:
Yoga for Cyclists
SPIN Manchester is giving you the opportunity to try something new with yoga classes for cyclists! Over the weekend, yoga guru and cyclist, Marie Harris will be holding a series of classes and presentations that are aimed at getting your body cycle-ready.
Cool Competitions
Not only can you check out the Cycling Plus Bike of the Year awards at SPIN Manchester, but get involved with the various competitions held by brands throughout the show and you could walk away with some fab prizes. Make sure you stop by the Hiplok stand for a chance to win a new Hiplok DX, while our friends at BIKMO are giving you the chance to “SPIN” their wheel of fortune and win cycling goodies galore.
Café Stop
Coffee and cycling just seem to go together and this year, a personal favourite of the Hiplok team, Workshop coffee will be brewing at SPIN London. While in Manchester, an entire mini coffee festival is taking place within SPIN – sure to keep you buzzing round the Swifty test track!
The Summit
One of the most interactive parts of SPIN is the opportunity to attend the forums in “The Summit” section of the show. From heroic cyclists to industry experts and entrepreneurs, this year’s speaker line up promises two weekends of insight, inspiration and debate. Don’t miss Chris Boardman and Martyn Ashton amongst others – check out the SPIN website for the full schedule.
Swifty Test Track
SPIN isn’t about walking around trade show booths – it’s an event to get involved in.
And this year, Swifty Scooters will be back at SPIN once again with their well-loved test track. The whole family can demo their all-terrain scooters over rumble rollers and see-saws and no doubt the Swifty team riders will be on hand to show you their latest tricks too.
