We always appreciate when customers share their experiences, and recently, Kim sent us a DM on Instagram with footage showing how the D1000 saved his bicycle from theft.
Hiplok saves the day
Saved my expensive Haibike Trekking from a theft attempt. Worked wonderfully.
The thieves attempted to break the lock by targeting the connection point between the top of the shackle and the head of the lock(crossbar), but they failed. Both parts are made from the same advanced graphene composite technology, leaving no exposed area for the thief to attack.
Even if they had managed to cut through one side, the D1000’s anti-rotation double locking tabs mean the thief would need to cut both sides to remove the lock from the bike.
Stories like Kim’s are a good reminder that no lock is completely theft-proof, but with the right lock for the right situation, you can secure your bike with peace of mind.
