Als größeres Modell des preisgekrönten D1000 wurde der DX1000 speziell für Motorräder und größere Fahrräder entwickelt. Dank der bewährten Winkelschleifer-Technologie, die auch beim D1000 zum Einsatz kommt, bietet er im Vergleich zu herkömmlichen Bügelschlössern einen deutlich höheren Schutz vor Winkelschleiferangriffen. Es handelt sich um ein gleichschließendes Schlüsselset, d. h. die gleichen Schlüssel passen in beide Schlösser. Dadurch lassen sich beide Schlösser unterwegs problemlos zusammen verwenden.
