COVID-19 has seen an increase in bicycle use, but during the pandemic time cycling has been closer to home. With travel restrictions starting to lift, many of us are planning our first cycling trips further afield. In search of the perfect adventure on two wheels, we asked the Hiplok-sponsored NLTCBMBC cycling team for their post-lockdown dream rides. I am just dreaming about riding with friends under the sun. The smooth dry lanes, rapid turns and amazing company with recovery beers after the long ride.

Looking forward to cycling the dreamy quiet roads and beautiful climbs around Girona. I’m already planning to escape as soon as we are allowed… sunshine guaranteed.

I can’t wait to feel the sun on my face, ride some new roads this year (whether in the UK or abroad) and relish that delirious but elated feeling of finishing an epic ride, surrounded by friends and pizza.

I’d love to ride and race around Herne Hill velodrome on a warm summer’s evening this year with lots of mates in track centre to chat to. I also dream of a ride to the beach for chips with mates. Brighton, Southend, Margate, I don’t care. It’s more about the mates, the sunny cycling, and the chips.

Can’t wait to ride in New Zealand again. Sometimes I find myself street viewing the routes I would have done if I was there. It’s the only country where I experienced people shouting encouragement out of the car when I was riding up a steep hill.

I’m really looking forward to some long biking trips in woods, camping, and spending time with friends. I just can’t wait to get the train somewhere outside of London for it.

I’m looking forward to riding in a bunch again! In a crit or on the track, I’m excited to be surrounded by racers and completely focused on the race. I’m also looking forward to riding anywhere that isn’t on the Kickr in the garage. I can’t wait to feel the sun on my face, ride some new roads this year (whether in the UK or abroad) and relish that delirious but elated feeling of finishing an epic ride, surrounded by friends and pizza.
